I was the girl who imagined fairies swooping in the classroom window and stealing all the good crayons.
I live in the heart of North Carolina with my husband, three kids and two rescue labs. When I’m not cooking and playing chauffeur for my children’s athletic needs, I work full time as an Administrative while attending SNHU. After receiving a degree in Business Administration, I realized I would rather be poked in the eye-repeatedly than take another business class.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve been intrigued by the supernatural. Now as an adult, I write novels and short stories that contain magic and characters that look like me. My stories center about characters of color, and include fantastical elements with traces of magic and all things creepy crawly.
When not writing I can be found sipping copious amounts of tea, binge watching Netflix shows, receiving doggie snuggles, singing karaoke with my daughter, and having bake offs with my son.
Why I write?
- I write stories about characters of color in colorful worlds that include magic, love and mystery.
- It’s cheaper than therapy.
- The voices in my head are demanding.
- I can’t imagine a world where I didn’t tell stories.
